Today’s Inspiration: “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” Psalms 23:5 NIV. Our faith is tested not when things go well but when we face difficult, painful and critical times, especially when one is facing health, financial or relational crisis. It is such a time when we find our spiritual solace on bended knees, and our soul longing for the Lord in deeper prayers. When a sheep is unwell, the shepherd will examine and anoint, meaning to rub the ointment on the lamb at its affected areas which is infected or wounded to heal.

Anointing is also being set apart, ordained, and installed with authority like David when he was anointed as King by prophet Samuel. Apostle James also told the disciples that elders can anoint with oil and pray for those who are sick and their sins forgiven. James 5:14-15 The anointing breaks the yoke because it sets apart for God’s working, purposes, power and wonders. Isaiah 10:27 We align intentionally to His Word and promises. A wonderful peace just rest upon our minds and heart without fear, worries or anxiousness. He fills our cup with His love, faith and hope for the future, overwhelming in His presence. Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, your presence is heaven to me. Anoint me as I set my self apart for you in prayer, petitions, and thanksgiving in my heart for Jesus Christ, who is my savior, provider, healer, king, restorer and defender. You restore of my soul with new strength and confidence in the Holy Spirit. You have not given me the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a secured mind of Christ, in Jesus Name, Amen.
