Today‘s Inspiration: “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”Matthew 7:12 NIV. Apostle James taught about being doers of the Word and not hearers, or we will deceive ourselves. Many of our negative words, actions and thoughts unto others are rooted by our past hurts, abuses and pain. We choose to take things into our hands than to hand it to God in prayer and allow the Holy Spirit to bring healing to our reactions.
There is no healing without reflection of our actions. How are we treating the people around us? Who is your neighbour? Don’t be be surprised that the atmosphere in many Christian homes doesn’t have the presence of God’s love, peace and joy because of generational bondages. I was ministering to a Christian brother and was told his family speaks loudly and angrily but it’s “Normal”. Remember this, worldly norms are demonic and Satan can deceive and convince us so. We can get use to our dysfunctions without Christ, deceiving ourselves. It’s time to change and break all vicious cycles and uproot all bitter roots that are not planted by God.
Prayer: O Lord my God, let me discern my actions, attitude, and words to others. If they are in any way not pleasing to you or defer from your Word, I choose to repent and turn from them. Heal my thoughts, emotions, words and actions to be like Christ. If there are any hardness in my heart, I choose to give it to you and I believe you can give me a new heart to do to others what I want others to do to me in Christlikeness, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
