Today‘s Inspiration: ”Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.“ Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ Our relationship with God comes from the relationship with His Word. He sees our obedience more than our sacrifice, tithes or burnt offerings. 1 Samuel 15:22. Samson and Saul were anointed and gifted by God but their ministry and kingdom fell because of rebellion and disobedience. Samson dishonoured his parents and Saul disobeyed Samuel’s instructions from the Lord.

God’s commandments and His word is our shield. It’s like when we obey the law, it protects us from evil consequences. When we honour our parents and respect our spouses, our children witness likewise to build strong family ethics, principles and values. All relationships are grounded in our relationship with God. How we talk to others reflect our attitude to God inwardly. In Purim, we believe it’s a time to draw close to God intimately in prayer and fasting for a divine time to turnaround with God’s favour. Let all who take refuge in God be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. Psalms‬ ‭5‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭NIV.‬‬

Prayer: O Lord my God, let your love and faithfulness be my shield and govern my heart and mind with your peace and favour. Let your face shine upon me and in your light I shall see light, drinking from your fountain of life and resting in the promises of your Word. Let 2024 be a year of turning around with your divine favour in my studies, work, business, ministry, and family, in Jesus Name, Amen.
