25 February 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! James‬ ‭3‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. God created the world and us with His Holy Word and our words are to glorify God in faith and in deeds. Our Words can free us from sickness but it also can ensnare us in sin. Our health, finances and relationships are intimately, relatively and intricately connected to our daily word we speak to God, self, others and even to things. No one can expect to receive blessings from God if we fight, criticise, argue, complain and grumble.

Apostle James taught,” But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.” James‬ ‭3‬:‭8‬-‭12‬ ‭Our words reflects the conditions of our soul and heart. Bless God, family and our neighbours with Spiritual words of living waters coming out from our bellies. John 7:38 Edify and encourage one another with the Holy Word of God, it is our divine compass that will steer our ship into the Kingdom of God and everlasting life. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, cleanse my tongue daily that out if it shall flow fresh living waters from your throne of everlasting love, grace and mercy. Forgive me for any accusations of self and others. Sanctify my heart with your precious blood, and purge my soul from all bitterness with healing. Let my words and actions be align to thy Holy Word in prayer. Remove all sins and iniquities with the conviction of thy Holy Spirit. Direct my words and path with thy daily bread and light. Lead me away from temptations and deliver me from all evil, for yours is the kingdom, power and glory forevermore in Jesus' Name, Amen
