Today’s Inspiration: “I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. John‬ ‭17‬:‭15‬-‭17‬. Godly parenting is crucially needed in the body of Christ today and we cannot just leave it to the Sunday school but to live it out at home for children to follow Christ. The truth is we have to prepare our children not for Jerusalem but more importantly to thrive in Babylon. How can they survived and walk in faith with Christ in the world of sin and evil?

Discipleship begins at home, the inner most core of our spiritual growth, values, and principles. if our spirit is not right with God, our soul and body will follow. I still remember having my first born daughter and I didn’t know how to parent but sought the Lord for wisdom. Psalm 34:4. The Holy Spirit spoke to my spirit in a still small voice and it warmed my entire being saying,” Teach her how to love me, said the Lord.” It was crystal clear like a bell rang in my Spirit man. Christ is the first love and the foundation of our Christianity. Revelation 2:4. Love is the presence of God which is so badly needed at home, parenting, and prayers. Christ is the cornerstone. Glory to God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, teach me and guide me to be a godly parent to draw all my children to love you, as I grow in love with you. Your first love is my foundation, my fortress and my fruitfulness. Sanctify my heart daily to seek you, sought you, and find you. Guide me to put you first in all things, in all ways, and at all times. Though these are troubled times in the Lord, may your love through the gospel prepare my children to be sanctified by the truth to thrive in Babylon and to have the heart for Jerusalem, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
