Today‘s Inspiration: Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, and said, “Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly. Isaiah 38:2-3. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:15-16
King Hezekiah was a man of devotion, dedication and commitment to the Lord. Despite facing a critical illness, he turned not unto man or idols but to God directly and wholeheartedly. The king’s prayer was answered and tears were collected with prophetic utterances and divine intervention from God. Our God is not restricted by our predicaments or sicknesses but can only be drawn close by our repentance and humility. Our Lord told prophet Isaiah, “Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years.”Isaiah 38:5 And as he walked up the temple on the 3rd day, the shadow was miraculously reversed 10 steps backwards and He was totally healed. Our God is a God of healing, miracles, signs and wonders. Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, we believe you can bring healing, miracles, restoration and reconciliation in our prayers. What is mankind that you are mindful of us, human beings that you care for them? You have made us a little lower than the angels and crowned us with glory and honor. You made us rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under our feet. Nothing is impossible for God and with God all things are possible in Jesus Name, Amen.
