Today’s Inspiration: “Be confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 NIV. Our spiritual life impacts all areas of our physical life and endeavors. It’s such a privilege and honor to be saved and become a child of God, filled by His love and Holy Spirit. We cannot grow spiritually without the workings of the Holy Spirit in us. The main challenge of backsliding and lukewarmness is because of our personal desires.

When we lose the desire for Jesus, we also lose our desire to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. We can become religious and only focus on the works but not relationship with God. We want the gifts but not the giver. And when we don’t get what we want, we get frustrated with God. Jesus’s desire was focus on His father’s will and plans for Him. His food was to finish God’s work. John 4:34 Therefore don’t be distracted by man or things in life, but desire to follow Jesus through having deeper relationship with His Holy Spirit. When we do what God wants us to do, He provides what He wants us to have. Glory to God! He is the author and finisher of our faith. Hebrews 12:2
Prayer: O Lord my God, you are the alpha and omega, the first and the last of my life. Let my prayers be yielded to your will and let my will be surrendered to your heart. Make me your vessel and workmanship, one who solely desire after you. May my hunger and thirst for your righteousness be filled and let your Word and your Spirit be my listening post and road signs. You are the vine, and I am your branch to bear great fruit, in Jesus Name, Amen.
