23 September 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews‬ ‭12:1-3‬ ‭NIV‬. Do not be distracted by the things of the World and with news of gloom and doom. Let the Lord lead us by His Holy Spirit from all temptations and deliver us from all evil set up by the enemy. Matthew 6:13. Our news comes from Jesus who is our Good News and His Word is our manna, His Voice is our Wisdom and His Worship is our strength and refuge.

When we use our flesh to seek solutions, we become stress but when we used our hearts to pray and seek the Lord, we are blessed. Apostle Paul reminded his disciples that those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but whose who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires which is the Word of God. Romans 8:5. Building a personal prayer altar is not having a quiet time but a deep relationship with God. God doesn’t rely on human methods, theories or religious rites to bless us. He desires our time, our focus and hearts to seek Him in prayer, in His Word and to Worship Him. Matthew 6:33. These three areas are our living sacrifice. Romans 12:1. So in all situations and circumstances, don’t lose hope, be distracted or be disappointed, but be still, be focus and fervent on the Lord and His Word. He will take you through the mountains and the valleys.

Prayer: O Lord my God, you are the author and finisher of my faith, my belief and my hope of glory. Those who trust in you are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. Let me dwell in your presence and your peace as your favour surrounds me like a shield. Those who pray for the peace of Jerusalem and who loves your shall be secured and be filled with your peace within the walls in Jesus' Name, Amen.
