23 October 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NKJV.‬‬ The way of the world leads to sin and destruction but the way of the Lord leads to Holiness and life. In the two wars, we are seeing the cruelty of the human heart and brutality of the darkest evil. Jeremiah 17:9. Peace must never be taken for granted and so does our salvation in Prayer through Christ.

Let’s pray for both families and casualties in both Israel and Palestinians, Ukraine and Russia. It is a spiritual battle. Life is unpredictable, vulnerable, and fragile. We take many things for granted relationally. Sin comes in when we think of ourselves more than God and others but Holiness manifests when we think of God more than self and for others. Prayer is not about asking God for what we want because He knows all our needs but asking God for what He wants, that we may enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus taught,” I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John‬ ‭10‬:‭9‬-‭10.‬ ‭We all need Christ more than ever before personally.

Prayer: O Lord my God, may I seek and sought your will daily in your Holy word and Holy Spirit. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven for peace to come upon the leaders of the four nations, and the divided world. Let us be with you as one, just as you and the Father are one. Let us pray for unity, love and forgiveness among the families. Let us prioritise to enter your gate daily that we may have Holy faith, make wise decisions and take godly actions as peace makers of the Kingdom, in Jesus Name, Amen.
