Today‘s Inspiration: “But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”1 Samuel 16:7. In the journey of life as a believer in Christ, we learn quickly that many a times, our choice may not be God’s choice and our way may not be God’s way. Moses didn’t want to return to Egypt, Jonah didn’t want to go the Nineveh, Elijah didn’t want to go back to Israel, and even our Messiah didn’t want the cup in His last prayers. What is good in our sight may not be good in God’s view.

We all struggle with our choices and choices determines the outcome of our lives. Prophet Samuel performed the greatest revelation when He was in Jesse’s house, as he was called to select the next King of Israel and Judah. Like lot or any carnal thought we will always choose the strongest, the most skillful, prosperous, and best outlook. Nevertheless it can be a grave mistake if he didn’t seek the voice of God, His Holy Spirit. If Christ didn’t choose the Cross, we would have no salvation, redemption and eternal life. Faith can only come from hearing the voice of God. Romans 10:17. Behind of every great man’s fear, is the great man’s trust, triumph and destiny in God. Samuel made his decision with God and it was a divine and supernatural choice of victory for Israel. So seek and hear from God always.
Prayer: O Lord my God, open my eyes and my ears to conceive your Word and your voice within my Spirit. Let the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be pleasing to you. Let I not look through the ways of the world but through the ways in your eyes. Guide me with your vision, discernment and wisdom to know the hearts and make godly choices which pleases God and not man or self, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
