Today’s Inspiration: “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.” Romans 8:5 NKJV. Are we living a life in the flesh or in the Spirit? The difference between the world and the Kingdom is that the former operates in the flesh but the latter thrives in the Spirit. The flesh lives in a cover in today’s digital world where people are defined by their social media, accolades, position, education, power, status, affiliations and popularity.

But who are we in real life and what is our identity? If our identity is defined by the world, then we are deceived and the lies of satan can cause insecurity through false security. So if one day we lost all the above things of the world, does it mean we lost our identity? May there be a spiritual awakening in our spirit man. Even in the church, we are not define by our ministry, flock, and status so that pride, jealousy and religiosity will not set in. Our true identity is in our calling, gifting and fruit from God which can never be destroyed, shaken nor taken away. Romans 11:29. We are defined by the Holy Spirit and His Word, which is God’s Paraclete. So walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh. God peace will be with you. Shalom!
Prayer: O Lord my God, you are my rock and my salvation. Let I not move or make decisions in the flesh or in emotional situations but choose to come to you first in the spirit in prayer, petitions and thanksgiving in my heart. And let your peace which surpasses all knowledge and understanding govern my mind and my heart with faith. Let me do what pleases you and not man, and let me walk by faith and not fear. My identity is in you, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
