22 October 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: “Those who delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.”Psalms‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭3‬. ‭Today’s world everything is expected to have instant results like instant noodles. Technology has changed their world to become impatient and angrier without character.

The church too can become a place of consumerism and is about what I can get, rather than what I can give. We want all things “now” but do not know God’s time of “when, what, and why”which are needed to be waited. Today, even trees are planted as a tree and not as a seed. The art of waiting, watering, and watching is so desperately needed in prayer, meditating the word, and hearing the still, small voice of God in communion. 1 Kings 19:12 We all need a renewed mind to be planted and not potted with God’s seed in the soil of our hearts, with a renewed vision, voice, and valour.

Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive me of my frustrations, anger and impatience. Let me learn to wait upon you in prayer, petitions and thanksgiving in my heart. Let your peace guard my mind and my heart to know your will, your ways, and your wisdom. Let them be on your word day and night, that my roots run deep into your living waters, by the river of life, in Jesus Name, Amen.
