Today’s Inspiration: Jesus taught,” whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Matthew 20:26-28. Faith in Christ is to live in Christ and be like Him. Today many are shipwrecked in faith because they met Christians who were not living like Christ but only in search of one’s interest and glory. A Christian life is not about eating and drinking but of sacrifice, sanctification, and selflessness. 2 Corinthians 7:1.
Apostle Paul taught,” So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God— even as I try to please everyone in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved. Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 10:31-33. Christ is the Image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. Colossians 1:5 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. Colossians 1:17-18.
Prayer: O Lord my God, let me walk in your ways and yield my spirit unto your Holy Spirit. Let me not just think about myself but of others. Teach me to put others first and to respect and honour one another. Let your image manifest in my daily lives so that whatever I do, I do it for the glory God and not of my own. For in Christ, I am a new creation, the old had passed always and the new has come, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
