Today’s Inspiration: “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” John 15:1-2 NIV. This is a season to learn about fruitfulness. Fruitfulness is derived from great care of our spirit, soul and body daily, letting God be our vine dresser and Christ be our vine, for we are His branches. Without Christ, we will not bear fruit and without the fruit we will not know what is our calling and election because it is the fruit that reflects the Vine. Jesus said,” Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:3-5.
Some pursue many endeavours but achieved none for self but the few who focus on their calling blesses everyone. Don’t try to be someone else in life or any idols or personalities. Be who God has created you to be because you are special to Him. 1 Peter 2:9. Apostle Peter shared,” Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble. 2 Peter 1:10 NIV Our relationship and knowledge reflects deeply on the people and the books we are committed to, for the ministry and destiny God has called us. His grace is intimately related to His gifts apportioned to us for His divine goals, just as the vessel for the master’s use. Ephesians 2:10. Remember this, God always provides for His purpose in our salvation and service. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, make me your vessel and your fruit bearing branch. I believe through you I shall be fruitful and multiply. Lead me to your calling and election that I may be a witness of your Holy Spirit and be a saint of your testimony and favour. Reveal to me daily the works of your hands that I may follow and have good success, in Jesus' Name, Amen
