21 March 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: ”All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord. Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.“ Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ God is greater than our mistakes, failures, and even sins. Even when we are unfaithful, He is faithful and His love for us endures forever. 2 Timothy 2:13. In our spiritual walk there are seasons of dew and dryness. In fact the more successful one is, the further he can distance from God and the more one is down trodden the nearer he is to God. It is a controversial revelation that speaks to the condition of our souls.

Repentance is finding our way back to God and learning to humble ourselves. Pride is what causes a downfall but those who humble before the Lord shall be uplifted. James 4:10. David was at his prime of life fighting countless victories yet he fell into multiple sins at the palace because of disobedience in being at the wrong place at wrong time. Lazarus was so poor that even the dogs came to lick his wounds but he went into Abraham’s bosom in the Kingdom of God. What we think or do is right in our own eyes but may not be right in the sight of God. Humility in the fear of the Lord will always bring life, honour, and divine providence of God. Obedience is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15:22.

Prayer: O Lord my God, your ways are higher than my ways and so does your thoughts higher than my thoughts, just as the heavens is above the earth. Forgive my pride in every way that is not pleasing to you. A contrite heart and a broken spirit you will not turn away. A bruise reed you will not break and a smouldering wick you will not suff out. Draw near to me as I draw near to you. Wash my hands, purify my heart and give me a clarity of mind to serve your purpose, will and plans. For your grace is sufficient for me, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
