21 July 2025 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well, holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ Fear, doubts and unbelief are the enemy’s strategies to distract, detract, and deceive us away from God’s calling in our lives. Fulfilment of God’s calling and using His gifts for the extension of His Kingdom is not an option or choice but a command.

I remembered one morning the Lord was telling me there is no lazy person in heaven and reminded me of the steward who hidden his one talent and was taken away. Serving God is not a choice, it is a command in scripture in discipleship so that we are true sons and daughters of God, blessed to build the Father’s house. Even King David said,”I would rather be a door keeper in heaven than dwell in the tents of wicked.” Psalm 84:10 Serving makes us useful for our Lord and it brings purpose in the living, for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. Romans‬ ‭11‬:‭29‬. We all need King David’s heart attitude of servitude unto God.

Prayer: O Lord my God, lead me with your Holy Spirit in remembrance of your calling prophetically. Remind me not to be complacent, conceited or too comfortable in not serving you and your kingdom. Let me hold on to faith and a good conscience to fight the battle well in winning souls, discipleship and doing your missions. Make me useful for your workmanship as I yield to your Holy Spirit and Word in actions, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
