21 December 2021 Word by Senior Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalms 27:1. Strangely yet supernaturally, that whenever we worship in raising our hands and lifting our heads, looking up into the open heavens, God’s light gives us hope and life.

Fear normally comes in the form of darkness, in fear, anxiety or worries. It can be a bad medical report, a negative comment from friends, colleagues, boss or customer, or problems in family or relationship. But God did not give us a spirit of fear but of love, power, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7.

He who humbles himself shall be lifted by the Lord. Turn our eyes upon Jesus for He has a plan to prosper you and not to harm. He gives you a hope and future when you follow Him and know His thoughts for you. Jeremiah 29:11. God’s Word is always the lamp to our feet and light to our path that brings us back to Him. Psalm 119:105.

Maybe you haven’t sought or prayed to God for a long time or not attending church worship since lockdown, or busy with many challenges. It’s time to come back to God and be filled with Holy Spirit and fire once again. Take a step of faith to fellowship, come to church to worship and pray jointly in discipleship. Matthew 18:20. He can make all things new again for you if you give yourself first to Him. Revelation 21:5. Time to turn your eyes from the problems to God’s promises in His light. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord My God, I repent of my complacency, conceitedness, and comfort that I may have forgotten the cost of your Cross at Calvary. I am coming back to the heart of worship, where I first found my first love, who is you Jesus, and let me once again be filled with your Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
