Today‘s Inspiration: "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalms 37:4. Our sins, worldliness, and busyness of the flesh can quickly draw us subtly from the presence, power and passion for God. Intimacy with God can never be a compromise in a Christian life of growth and maturity. When character is removed from competency, it creates corruption in the Spirit. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things (our needs) shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33.
When our desires is for God alone, there is a divine delight in our spirit, soul, and body. This is because we discover the desires of God in our lives which is far surpassing what this world is able to provide us. Apostle Paul taught,” For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance.“ I Timothy 4:8-9. Without intimacy with God, our prayers has no power, the Church has no Christ, and the field is not fruitful. All things emerges from Christ, who is our Vine and we are the branches. John 15:5 When we dwell in the presence of God, we overflows and not overload. Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, you are my all in all. One thing that I seek is to dwell in the house of God all the days of my life, gazing upon your beauty and glorious light of Hope, Healing, and Salvation. Guide me into deeper intimacy, devotions, disciplines and desires of your heart. Let me be aligned to your will, plans, purpose and provisions of your promises. I know with faith that your desires shall overflow, overtake and overwhelm all my desires, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
