19 January 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: "He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!” Matthew‬ ‭8‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭NIV.‬ The discipleship with Christ was not just doctrine or study but a life journey of faith and actions. In the world, one can be facing winds of economic challenges or waves of health issues and forgot what kind of man Jesus is. He was the one who rebuked the winds and waves, miraculously and powerfully with authority.

I remembered my wife and I was in a British friend’s house in Norway and he was having a painful headache after dinner and asked us to pray. So I asked my wife to pray for him as she was picking up the prayer mantle that time spiritually. I was shocked because she began her prayer by “rebuking” the pain and headache. All along her prayer was gentle and subtle. Guess what? He was healed! I knew and believe it was the same authority Jesus exercised in the storm to rebuke the waves and winds. Satan wants to steal, kill and destroy such authority by his lies and deception causing us to be fearful and doubtful. All authority has been given to Jesus and He has given us His Holy Spirit to excercise His faith. Let us move in Exousia, which shall bring forth Dumanis! Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, I take up your mantle of authority by faith to boldly rebuke all winds and waves sent by the enemy, exposing all lies and deception of fear and anxieties. I rebuke all sickness, illness and disease that is trying to torment our lives. I believe the Lord who winds and waves obeyed is living inside of me. In 2024, I command all strongholds to be pulled down and bondages to be broken in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
