Today’s Inspiration: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”Matthew 5:6 NIV A sure sign of spiritual growth, maturity and transformation is the hunger and thirst for Christ, the Word of God. Today we find many believers are busy with ministry or work but aren’t hungry for God’s word and to hear His voice. We are focusing so much on doing like Martha but not being with Christ like Mary.

To be hungry for God, is the wonderful work of Holy Spirit. Jesus taught,”You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:13-16

Prayer: O Lord my God, stir up a hunger within my soul for more of your Spirit and Word. Make me your vessel, your offering, and your workmanship. Direct my heart to seat at your feet and to hear your still small voice in my heart and spirit man. Open my mind, heart and time for your glory and to soak in your Holy presence. Fill me up till my cup overflows, in Jesus Name, Amen.
