Today’s Inspiration: “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:13-14 NIV. When we were young we desire many things, but as one grows older we don’t need many. What is it worth to gain the whole world but loses one’s soul. Matthew 16:26 Martha was busy with everything but gained nothing. Mary was posturing at Jesus’s feet quietly but has one thing that is most important.

The danger churches are facing today in the contemporary world is casual Christianity where one avoid the difficulty of repentance, correction and transformation but embraces sinful compromises, self justification and religious rituals. Apostle Paul warned the church to not hear what our itching ears want to hear like the prosperity gospel, many ways to heaven or hyper grace but sound doctrine that is awakening, sobering, and correcting the soul. 2 Timothy 4:3 The world is filled with lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and pride of life but what it truly needed is only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth and the life. John 14:6
Prayer: O Lord my God, I have the right to do anything but not everything is beneficial. I have the right to do anything but not everything is constructive. Let me not seek my own good, but the good of others. For you are the narrow gate which I enters by faith, obedience and humility in the spirit, and not succumb to the desires of my flesh which is the wider gate, in Jesus Name, Amen.
