18 November 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: Jesus spoke, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me. Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. John‬ ‭7‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ Yielding to the Holy Spirit and abiding in the word and will of God brings forth fruitfulness in our spirit, soul and body. Jesus was a child who grew up in wisdom, favour and statute because He spends time with His Heavenly Father’s word which is the Torah and deep devotional prayers. He had both favour from God and man. Luke 2:52. To bear much fruit, we need to ensure that our family, marriage, work and ministry love the word of God and delight to build our personal prayer altar, intimacy and relationship with God. Our character reflects our relationship with God.

For all Christian parents, it is our most important task to bring up our children like Christ who grew to love, know and hear God, in His word and worship. Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from God’s word, commandments and statutes. Proverbs‬ ‭22‬:‭6.‬ ‭When we are too busy for God, so will our children. Remember this, the Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Deuteronomy‬ ‭28‬:‭13.‬ ‭Bearing much fruit is not like world having more riches but rather having more of Christlikeness in the family, marketplace and ministry. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, lead me and family to be more like Christ who is daily hunger and thirst for your righteousness. Let my eyes be always on your word and my soul be always before your altar in prayer, petition, and thanksgiving in my heart. Let my heart be yielded to your Holy Spirit and my ears be incline to your voice. For your divine word are my wisdom, knowledge and understanding, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
