Today’s Inspiration: “He who is slow to anger (patient) is better than the mighty (warrior), And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.” Proverbs 16:32 NKJV Prayer in the Spirit keeps our emotions in check and our dependency on the Lord in trying times. The Holy Spirit restrains us in difficult situations, conflicts and disagreements. The fruit of the Spirit always manifests the wisdom and favour of God. Before we can lead a team or our family, we have to first lead our own emotions, especially handling our own anger, anxiety and frustrations.

Apostle Paul taught,”In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.”Ephesians 4:26-27 Anger is an open door for the enemy to cause disruption, division, and destruction of relationships. Even at times of injustice, we have to learn how to surrender to God in prayer, for He is our justice and righteousness. In stirring situations, take a deep breath and break in the Spirit. Don’t be quick to judge but quick to discern. Apostle James taught,”My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.”James 1:19-20
Prayer: O Lord my God, fill me with your Holy Spirit, the spirit of love, wisdom and self control. Let me always be quick to listen, discern, and yield to your word, your will, and your ways. For your knowledge is higher than mine as the heavens is higher than the earth. Let me trust the Lord with all my heart, and lean not on my own understanding. As I give you my plans, direct me with your paths and with your peace, in Jesus Name, Amen.
