Today’s Inspiration: “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.” Matthew 6:6-8.
God’s truth is eternal and changes not. “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12. Many don’t realise we have to repent daily and it’s even more frightening to hear sermons that avoid sins and repentance for divine corrections and transformation. Without repentance, there is no salvation and without humility we can’t enter the kingdom of God.
Our spiritual goal is not about knowing what’s going to happen in the future but to enter the kingdom of God through change in our character, behaviour and attitude to be like Christ. Does the family, marketplace and church sees the Christ in you? We must repent for change to take place spiritually, emotionally and mentally. The Word of God disciplines and sanctifies us to be who God want us to be. No one can improve, change and grow without the Word.
Prayer: O Lord my God, thank you for disciplining me daily and teaching me to be more like Christ. Remove all pride, lust, anger, bitterness and jealousy in me that I can be humble, meek, and obedient to thy Word, which pour forth new blessings, favour, and anointing in my life. Forgive me of all my sins, iniquities, and transgressions, and cleanse me with thy Word in Jesus' Name, Amen.
