17 November 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ What we lay hold in our lives are directed by our minds and thoughts. They are either on the things of the world or of the Kingdom of God. One can be prosperous but not have peace, yet one can have the peace of God and no lack. One can go through failures, but have faith in Christ yet one can have fear of man at the point of success. We have to keep our minds in Christ at all times.

The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy our minds through distractions with things of the world. Therefore don’t hold it too tight and make it an idol. Rather, learn to sow time in prayer, in worship, and in fasting to draw close to God. Holy Spirit always redirect us back to Christ and His Word. You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭9‬-‭10.‬ ‭Healing manifests with the mind of Christ. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, you are the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father in Heaven except through your grace by faith. Remove all distractions, distresses and discouragement from my mind. Lead me in the Spirit that I may overcome the flesh, and walk in the Spirit of your victory in the advent. With my eyes I shall see the glory of God in all things, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
