17 November 2021 Word by Senior Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: Praises to God brings prophetic edification, exhortation and comfort to the Spirit, soul and body. 1 Corinthians 14:3. The Lord builds our hearts by healing all brokenness and binding up our wounds. Psalm 147:2-3. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. He sustains the humble and casts the wicked to the ground. Praises confuse and rout the enemy, changes our countenance, and draw us closer to God in obedience. The highest form of prayer is Praise, for it brings forth the crown of beauty, oil of joy, and garment of praises, removing ashes, mourning, and heaviness in our hearts. Isaiah 61:3.

When we give ourselves to God’s commandments, instructions and statutes, there is an anointing of Blessing. The Lord spoke, “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:” Deuteronomy 28:1-2.

When we obey God, people around us will sense the presence of God and see His protection, provisions and favour. Be mindful because if Obedience ushers in God’s blessing, disobedience also opens the gate to generational iniquities. Praises to the Lord are the gates of entry to God’s protection and thanksgiving brings our heart to His presence.

Prayer: O Lord My God, let my praises be unto your daily as my prayers and petitions. Guide my steps and my ways that they are pleasing before you. In all I do, let thy name be glorified, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
