Spiritual growth and maturity in a Christian life derives not just through attending Church or serving but emerges through a fervent, relational, and intimate Prayer Life with God. You will be surprised the hard work is not doing ministry but prayer. Luke 9:62. Prayer is Plowing the harvest field in the kingdom of God for the salvation of souls, healing of the sick and deliverance of the oppressed.
Know this that God doesn’t just need us to do the work for Him because He desires us to work with Him. Hebrews 7:25. Like a Father to a son, He desires communion, communication, and connection. Without prayers, there is no relationship or communion with God. You can’t pray just reading the text from the Bible or defeat the devil by throwing scriptures at him. You have to surrender, yield and obey God’s Word in Prayer. Obedience is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15:22. Israel was tormented and trampled by her enemies because the altar of God was broken and Prophet Elijah has to restore it before fire and rain can come down. 1 Kings 18:30 Without a strong prayer life, there is no Christian life. Prayer is the key to release the Power of God into matters which cannot be done by humans hands. Before you can experience the power of God, you have to know the person of God. Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive me if I had neglected my prayer life. Rend my heart and not my garments. Bring me back to the heart of prayer and worship that I may enter and rest in your presence to know you more. Break every fallow ground of prayerlessness, lukewarmness, restlessness and lawlessness in my life. Let my will be yielded to your will and give me a new hunger and thirst for fervent prayers and deeper communion with you, in a Jesus’ Name, Amen.
