17 July 2025 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Hear my prayer, O Lord, Give ear to my supplications! In Your faithfulness answer me, And in Your righteousness.” Psalms‬ ‭143‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. Prayer and worship with the Word of God is paramount for a disciple’s spiritual life and growth. Jesus wakes up daily before dawn in seeking God first and His Word. Mark 1:35. Prayer is not religious but relational. It not getting just what we want but desire to know what God wants us do daily. The church needs a relationship with the Word of God.

To build a strong relationship with God, with self and others, we need biblical, good and godly communication. And our Lord had led us by example through His life in loving God and loving the neighbours as oneself. Matthew 22:37-38 Do we build our relationships according to the Word of God or according to how people treats us or how we feel people should be treated? Can we love the unlovable? Jesus loved both the believers and prebelievers, the righteous and sinners, according to God’s greatest commandment. Love is not an option or choice, it is a commandment for the disciple of Jesus Christ. Love is always reflected in obedience and obedience to God and His Word reveals His love. 1 Samuel 15:22

Prayer: O Lord my God, there is none like you whose love is unconditional, unfathomable, and unchangeable. I choose to obey because love demands obedience to your great commandment in your Holy Word. Your agape love never fails. Obedience is better than sacrifice. May I daily deny my flesh, carry the love of your Cross, and follow your commandment for it is on this rock you shall build your church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it, in Jesus Name, Amen.
