Today’s Inspiration: “Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.” I Chronicles 4:10 NKJV. God is always intending to bless His people and children of His Kingdom. Jabez’s prayer signifies that we are not limited by our past or people who define or named us. Prayer could make divine changes and breakthroughs.

Jabez was named “pain” because of his mother’s difficult delivery. Our upbringing wounds and perceptions of others in the past can hinder our spiritual growth and maturity. Therefore, Jabez’s prayer was to break the curse of the past and break the boundaries people had placed on him. It was a divine inner healing by the Lord, and was granted the request. Prayers are powerful when it is directed unto the God of Israel, who is able to turn all our pain into purpose and bondages into blessings by His Spirit. Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, let my prayers be near your ears and heart. Let all roots that were not planted by you in the past shall be uprooted. For my latter days shall be more glorious than my former days. Bless me indeed, and enlarge my territories with your hand, to break free from all accusations and afflictions, in Jesus' Name, Amen
