Today’s inspiration: “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” Matthew 6:6. The promises and power of God is revealed in His presence in the realm of prayer. Prayer shuts the door to the world, the flesh, and the enemy. It’s where we’re receive the divine food for our Spirit, which Jesus told His disciples, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.” John 4:32.
Prayer redirects, resets and refines our minds and hearts to God’s plan, will, purpose, and provisions for us. Jeremiah 29:11. Prayer reflects the condition of our Spiritual life. Ask a person who no longer prays, is surely walking in the flesh, insensitive to sin and having lots of challenges. Elijah has to first restore the prayer altar of Israel before the fire and rain can come upon the drying and distress land. 1 Kings 18:30. The Spirit of the Lord is calling back all his families and children to pray in the Spirit. When we prioritise prayer, we seek God first and invite Him in all our plans. Matthew 6:33. Power resides in Prayer in the Kingdom of God. Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, hide me under the shadow of your wings as I abide and dwell in secret place of prayer. Lead me and fill me with your Holy Spirit and my food is doing your will and commandments. Your voice and words are my delight and my hope is found in your presence, for my soul is restored as you lead me to your green pastures and quiet still waters, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
