Today's Inspiration: “Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for He has given you the autumn rains because He is faithful. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.” — Joel 2:23 (NIV). Do not be distressed, disappointed, or dismayed if you are undergoing challenges beyond your comprehension from past seasons or years. Seek, wait, and pray like Elijah for God to release the rain of healing, revival, and fruitfulness. There is power in the earnest and faithful prayer of God’s watchmen (James 5:18).
The apostle and the prophet have one thing in common: the power of prayer. In different times and seasons, let our prayers align with God’s will, ways, and Word. The prophet declares, “Do not be afraid, you wild animals, for the pastures in the wilderness are becoming green. The trees are bearing their fruit; the fig tree and the vine yield their riches.” Joel 2:22.
Prayer gives us a new wineskin, which is our mind and heart, to make way for new grain, wine, and oil for the new season to come. The old shall pass, and the new shall come. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, let all intercessors and watchmen of Your church and nations be witnesses of Your power, honor, and glory! Send forth Your rain in the coming autumn and bring forth breakthroughs for Your feast that is to come with a great harvest. Let all tears be turned to joy and mourning to dancing, carrying sheaves of fruitfulness in faithfulness to Your House. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
