Today’s Inspiration: “Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” Psalms 20:6-7 NIV. David was God’s anointed because He was chosen by God as a man after His own heart, a contrite and humble spirit which God desires. Acts 13:22. In all situations and circumstances, David always sought and inquire of the Lord, doing EVERYTHING God wants him to do and God always gives him victory over the land and enemies who are larger and stronger than him.
The challenge of the Church today is missing a Discipleship lifestyle. We only depend on God’s word with the sermon on Sunday at the corporate altar but our personal altar for the 6 days are neglected without prayer, worship and reading of the Word. The sermon on Sunday is only the strategic appetiser and not the revelation main course which we need to consume daily. If our spirit is malnourished, how will our soul and body become? We have to come back to our first love for a divine breakthrough. Revelation 2:4. The worst lesson David faced was distractions from the Lord when he shall be moving with God at the War front intercession, he chose to be seated back at his palace and was tempted into lust, bondage and sin. Yet God was gracious and slow to anger in accepting his repentance and broken spirit in Psalm 51. We believe a great revival is coming and it is a personal one where we encounter God at our personal prayer altar daily with Holy Spirit and Fire! Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, keep me fervent and on fire day and night running after you. Let all my six days be filled with your divine presence and grace. Let my altar be lit day and night, filling my mind and heart with your glory and peace. I will not settle till the Ark of your Presence is returned to the temple. To seek ye first the Kingdom of God and your righteousness, so that everything you want me to do, I shall do, in Jesus' Name, Amen
