Today’s Inspiration: “Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.” John 7:18 NIV. The Word of God is infallible, inerrant and inspired by the Holy Spirit which was in, upon and with Christ. The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. John 6:63. Today the major challenge of why people are not praying or not able to pray is because they do not spend time with the Word of God. We can be doing ministry but spiritually dried and burnt out. We strive and depress is because like Elijah who said he is the only one left. 1 Kings 19:10. God restored and healed his insecurities to bring him the 7000 prophets whom have not bow down to Baal. All is not and never lost if we turn to believe in Jesus Christ. Delay is not denial of our destiny but is a process of revealing the truth of our soul.
Self-consciousness and selfishness is bound by the spirit of insecurity. This root comes from the lack of intimacy and trust especially when a child is rejected, neglected or abandoned at infancy. God restored Elijah’s intimacy with Him at the cave at Mount Horeb, with His still small voice and broke all his past insecurities. Elijah then receives new assignments and destiny steps to bring forth new kings and prophets for the land of Israel. 1 Kings 19:15. Some of us might be disappointed by past unhappy or traumatic incidents and has walked far from God or even diverted from your calling, your first love and work. Do not be disappointed with God because of man but be encouraged by God because of Christ who has called and chosen you for such a time as this to bring many to salvation, healing and restoration to the land of your Nation. Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive me for I have put too long my focus on man rather than on Christ. Heal me of my insecurities and even any selfishness within me. I shall put my trust in you alone. Give me courage and strength to live and walk in your word and destiny. Turn my eyes upon the Heavenly Father’s work and to do thy will. Your sheep hears your voice, you know me and I shall follow you, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
