Today’s Inspiration: Our late founding pastor Rev Alicia always says, “Don’t build riches, build people.” People who have wealth but lack understanding are like the beasts that perish. Psalm 49:20. We can’t serve both money and God. Matthew 6:24.
Many families are broken today because of pursuant of wealth and not God. But if we seek God first, His kingdom and righteousness, all that we need will be added to us. Matthew 6:33. Our relationship with God reflects with our relationship with people around us, especially our family. God is not against having wealth but wealth mustn’t become your idol. And most family fight, quarrel and divide because of the love for money.
Jesus taught this important lesson in time of teaching prayer to remind us the priorities of life. “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21. Daily develop our heart priorities with God and with people around us. Provisions will always pursue the Purposes of God, just as Healing follows the Healer, our Lord Jesus. So follow Him today. Praise Him!
Prayer: O Lord My God, as I set time for you, teach me also to set time for people, especially my family and those lives you desire me to share your gospel. Let me follow your kingdom priorities and plans, for your ways are higher than mine, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
