Today’s Inspiration: Do we know Jesus personally? Jesus taught,” Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Matthew 7:21-23.
Jesus taught that it is not the ministry that will take a person through the gates of heaven, but a pure heart who shall see God. Matthew 5:8. Do we fight, argue, complain, pretence, grumble or even gossip, envy and jealous with one another? Without the precious blood of Jesus, we will not be able to enter the Kingdom of heaven and without repentance from the bottom of our hearts, all our outward works of righteousness are filthy rags. Isaiah 64:6 We look easily at others fault but oblivious of our own. Christ is coming for His glorious church who will be filled with His compassion, love, sacrifice and hardship. Acts 14:22. No longer self, but Christ in the Spirit. That’s when the power of the Holy Spirit shall come powerfully to build the Church. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, let us not look to your hands but to your face that we can see our hearts clearly. Sanctify us from all anger, pride, lust, and bitterness from our pain in the past, so that we can find our purpose in your will and in your ways, which are higher than mine. I seek not just doing the works of Christ but the heart and mind of Christ, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
