16 June 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.” Proverbs‬ ‭14‬:‭29‬ ‭NIV. Patience is one of the most powerful fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22. Learning to wait upon the Lord is the lost art of spiritual growth and wisdom. Patience guards our heart and health from anguish and offences. It teaches us to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. James 1:19 Patient prayers draw us closer and deeper into the presence of the Lord. It trains our minds, guards our mouths, and opens our ears with wisdom.

Patience helps us to discern God times and seasons and to trust Him by being led by His Holy Spirit. Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city. Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭32.‬ ‭Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.” Proverbs‬ ‭25‬:‭28‬ ‭God is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love. You may be going through frustrations, obstructions, and vexation in the workplace, ministry or family. Take a deep breath and slow down in prayer. Take your eyes from your situation and place it on the Lord who is in control and praying for you. Hebrews 7:25 When things are not ok, it is not the end but with the Lord in the end, it will be ok. Peace be with you. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, let my heart not be anxious, anguish or restless. For my soul waits and longs for you, my dwelling and resting place. May your spirit raise up a standard against the bellows of worries as I cast all my cares on you. Grant me your peace in my heart and mind to trust your plans, timing, and favour in prayer. May the words in my mouth and meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
