16 December 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “The preparations of the heart belong to man, But the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the spirits.” Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. What we see is good may not be good in God’s eyes, and what we see is bad may not be bad in God’s eyes. We have seen people getting blessed and being too busy for God, and people who don’t have much but deeply devoted to the Lord. How is our Spiritual life? God weighs our Spirit.

In the coming season, we need to spiritually recalibrate our walk with the Lord. Is God in our prayers, plans and purposes or is it just about us? Are we just seeking to reap or do we desire to sow? Wisdom in the proverbs spoke this profoundly,”Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.” Proverbs‬ ‭30‬:‭8‬-‭9.‬ ‭God weighs our Spirit and our hearts. For where the treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12:34. Is our heart on the right place?

Prayer: O Lord my God, you have the plans for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm, to give me a hope and a future. As I commit my plans to you for the coming year, lead my heart to seek your wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Direct my steps with your presence, providence and purpose that my treasure is found in the Kingdom of God, and not of the world. May my spirit mature more in your Word and grow spiritually in 2025, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
