Today’s Inspiration: “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.” Psalm 23:1-3 Are we the captain of our lives or is Jesus, the admiral of our destiny? Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guard stand guards in vain. Psalm 127:1-2.
Success in life is not about how much we have or achieved but how we have forgiven, loved and gave. Only by giving, equipping, and disciplining can we have succession. The is no success without succession.
Jesus was highly effective in making disciples and imparting the Word of God and distributing the gifts of the Spirit because He followed the Father’s Will and not His. He was able to overcome the Cross because of the Father’s will, not His. His love and relationship with His Father in Heaven was intimate, extraordinary and supernatural, and we believe His Father too was even more loving, for Him to give His only Son for Cross so the world can be saved. In family, marketplace and ministry, we must produce the kind (children, disciples, leaders, mentees) which pleases the Father in Heaven. Matthew 6:33. It all begins with us following Jesus Christ, our Lord and the Good Shepherd.
Prayer: O Lord Our God, thank you for leading me daily with your Word and directing my path as I commit my plans to you. Let I lean not on my own understanding but trust you with all my heart. Help me to produce the kind of family, business and ministry which pleases God, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
