Today‘s Inspiration: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16 NIV. God’s righteousness is able to extend grace to any sinner who repents and heaven rejoices. Sin causes darkness to a soul but salvation and sanctification bring eternal life and light to our spirit, which is the lamp of God. Proverbs 20:27. The main spiritual issue today in the body of Christ is the avoidance of preaching about our carnal sin, the damnation of hell and the desperate need of repentance.
Apostle John taught,”The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.” 1 John 3:8-9. Our confession is our greatest possession of God’s grace and kindness. Jesus came for the sinners and not the righteous. There is no shame in confession of our sins but salvation to our souls. For love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8.
Prayer: O Lord my God, for all have sinned and fall short the glory of God. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. If there is any sins within me, I choose to confess, repent, and change by your grace through faith. Let any roots that is not planted by you be uprooted and who the Son sets free is free indeed, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
