Today‘s Inspiration: “I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever. I will praise You forever, Because You have done it; And in the presence of Your saints I will wait on Your name, for it is good.” Psalms 52:8-9 NKJV. Learning to be still before the Lord is the art of intercession, worship and practicing to dwell in the presence of the Lord. It is not the trees that changes the river but rather it is the river that changes the tree. It is not the minister that changes the ministry but the ministry that builds the minister.
Prayer is the art of solitude, silence and stillness before God. God looks at our submission more than our success. Faithfulness is the seed of fruitfulness in spiritual formation and transformation by the Holy Spirit. The Psalmist sang,”He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.”Psalms 1:3. The living river deals with the roots and not its fruits. God looks at our attitude, behaviour and character more than our skills, gifts and talents. 1 Samuel 16:7. Fruitfulness comes from the heart of worship in spirit and in truth.
Prayer: O Lord my God, let me be planted by your river of life that I may meditate on your word day and night. Cleanse and wash my spirit, soul and body as a vessel willing for the master’s use. For you are the vine and I am your branch, you are the shepherd and I am your sheep. For your sheep hears your voice, you know me and I follow you daily, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
