Today‘s Inspiration: ”He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, But he who trusts in the Lord will be prospered. He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, But whoever walks wisely will be delivered.“ Proverbs 28:25-26. Prophet Jeremiah once revealed,”The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” Jeremiah 17:9-10. Without reflection, there is no transformation, and without conviction, there is no change.
Our intimacy with God is not primarily praying for what we want or need but letting God’s word speaks into our mind and heart, making divine changes. Every bitter root comes from anger, unforgiveness and offences. As a disciple of Christ, our hearts learn to not take offences and to keep our mouth to God’s word; setting our focus on Christ and helping the poor in actions. Wisdom spoke,”Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.“ Proverbs 4:23-26 NIV
Prayer: O Lord my God, let me learn to be like you to forgive quickly at the Cross, and to show compassion to the poor, lost and broken. Help me to remove all bitterness, resentment, and offences in the past. I choose to forgive and be free from all who had came against me and I choose to ask for forgiveness for those whom I have offended. For who the Son sets free, is free indeed by your grace through faith, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
