Today’s Inspiration: The life of Christ is exemplifying, extraordinary and supernatural because Jesus has a sole purpose on the earth, carrying a heavenly mandate. He lived to please God, not self or man. “As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.” 1 Thessalonians 4:1.
The gospel of Christ speaks of living a life of loving God, the Father. What is lacking in this world today is the love Jesus has for the Father, even over himself. Jesus taught, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13.
Love and fear are opposing forces. When there is more love, there is less fear in the family. Pleasing God is not easy at times when we need to confront our fears and overcome our flesh. Therefore we need wisdom, knowledge, and understanding from the Holy Spirit. The spirit of God is the the spirit of Love, the perfect one who cast out all fears. 1 John 4:18.
Choose to be relational like Mary, not rational like Martha. Better communication and relationship can be established in families when we chose to please God. How do we do that? By listening to His Voice and obeying His Word. Jesus’s sole desire is to please the Father’s heart. The deepest love is exemplified through listening. Your family can only feel your love when they felt they are heard and understood. Prayer changes all things.
Prayer: O Lord My God, your sheep hears your voice, and you know me and I follow you. May my prayers, purpose and life follow our Abba Father’s will, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
