Today’s Inspiration: “Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.” 2 Peter 1:10 NIV. Many a times we tend to mix up calling and gifting. Gifting are dependent on your skill, talent and experience whereas Calling emerges from your encounter, relationship, and dependency from God. That’s why when people believe they are called based on their gifting in ministry, they faced many frustrations like Moses and Peter, where one takes things into his own hands and the other begin to catch no fish.
Moses has the talent and skill to rule Egypt but he was called to be the Deliverer of the Israelites and not a prince. Peter has the skill to fish and build a corporate company but was called to be a fisher of men as an Apostle to the Jews. God’s ways are higher than our ways. Isaiah 55:9 The most important purpose in life as a believer, Christian, and disciple of Christ is to encounter, discover, and answer the Call of God. A Christian life is not just about going to Bible school, get an ordination, and serve a duty. It’s a deep desire to encounter God perpetually and want other souls to encounter Him as well in the Name of Jesus. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, may I discover, encounter and answer your Calling in my life. I believe you always qualifies who you call and let my life be filled with your purpose and perfect will. Let me be led by your Holy Spirit to your burning bush and Pentecost. Let there be a fresh anointing and outpouring in the new season of new election in your Call, in Jesus Name, Amen.
