Today’s Inspiration: “This is what the Lord says— he who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you: Do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams.” Isaiah 44:2-4 NIV. This is the season to be lead by the Spirit and not the flesh. What our mind governs is critical. Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:5-6 NIV.
Many are stuck in the rut because of the past, be it success which brings pride or failure which brings fears of which all hinders what God is working inside of you. All of us need to encounter the Holy Spirit at the prayer altar for we are the temple of God. 1 Corinthians 3:16. How do move in the Spirit? We have to come to the end of our flesh, our thoughts, our emotions and our desires. You cannot read the next chapter of your life without turning the page and leaving the last chapter. A new season is a time of fulfilment of God’s divine plan and purpose. Prayer helps us to shut the door of our flesh and open the door to the Holy Spirit. Our sacrifice is the flesh at the altar. Romans 12:1. Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19. Praise the Lord!
Prayer: O Lord my God, I offer my life as a living sacrifice unto you. Remove all my past and fleshly thoughts, emotions and feelings as I surrender my season to your careful and loving hands. Change my lifestyle to yours. I shall remove all the old ashes at the altar, rebuild the altar and bring forth new incense. In you I am a new creation for a new season with new encounters. Pour forth your anointing Lord as I bow before your throne of grace in prayer, petitions, and thanksgiving in my heart. Behold, the past is gone and the new has come, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
