Today’s Inspiration: “The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.”Proverbs 20:5 NIV. God has created us not just a human being but a spiritual being, and He communicates with us in the Spirit which is in our hearts. John 4:24. You may be surprise that one is likely unaware of God’s voice and plans in their lives because of the busyness, weariness, or brokenness in one’s life. In fact, drawing closer to God reveals the deep things in our hearts and God’s divine plans for us.
Moses didn’t know God’s plan until he encountered the burning bush, hearing God’s voice. Exodus 3:2. He was too caught up by his own disappointments, guilt, and shame in Egypt and is wandering in the wilderness. Yet God was mindful of Moses, so does He to us. God’s voice was the turning point of his faith, hope, and love for his people. For faith comes from hearing, hearing the word of God. Romans 10:17. Do not be disappointed when man or the world fails you, our Lord Jesus Christ always watches over us and has a better plan for us. Isaiah 55:8. Man may think that Moses has failed to be the prince of Egypt but God has called Moses to be the deliverer of the Nation of Israel. In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. Proverbs 16:9. Remember, God doesn’t just have a better plan but the best plan for us because we belong to Him. Glory to God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, your ways are higher than mine and your thoughts are higher than mine. May I seek your face and draw from your wells of salvation and revelation. How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver. For you are my strength and my comfort, the lamp to my feet and light to my path. Turn me back to you at all times, for I will not be disappointed, discouraged or dismay. Your plans for my latter days shall be greater than my former ones, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
