14 November 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. Our soul can so easily be entangled with sin, distresses and hindered by worldly disobedience, which distance our relationship with God. Hebrews 12:1. Indeed, we need the Word of God daily, like a sword which separates us from our flesh in order to walk in the Spirit in the renewal of our minds through Christ. Galatians 5:16.

To enter into God’s presence requires repentance, discipline and consistency in pursuing a deep intimacy with Him through love, prayer and worship. Hebrews 12:11. The more we love God, the more we hate sin, the more we desire truth, the more we discern lies, and the more we seek righteousness, the more we break lawlessness. Holiness is not a religious status but a spiritual process of Christlike transformation within one’s spirit and soul. It separates us from the our fleshly desires and draws us into godly living for the gospel. One evangelist ever shared that we don’t evangelise is not just because of the fear of rejection or persecution but because we don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus so deep that His overflowing love compels us share the gospel with others. 2 Corinthians 5:14. Gratitude is the best attitude to evangelise.

Prayer: O Lord my God, I confessed that I am a sinner, and yet you did the greatest sacrifice by giving your only begotten son Jesus Christ to die for my sins at the Cross and with His precious blood, redeemed me from eternal damnation and darkness, bringing me into His marvellous light and eternal life. Let this deep and intense love compels my heart to share your testimonies in my life to others. Let Christ be greater and I be lesser, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
