Today‘s Inspiration: ”For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.“ James 3:16-17 NIV. Decisions affect the outcomes in our lives. Godly wisdom brings wise decisions and fleshly ones bring bad consequences. God’s Word always brings forth Spirit led decisions with faith and not emotional reactions with fear. How do you make important decisions in life?
Very often we might hear,” God told me to do this or He told me to do that” in the body of Christ. This can be very dangerous to put words into God’s mouth or even justify by the scriptures in manipulation to what we want to hear, do, and pursue. The best way to discern God’s voice is to first yield our will, quieten our hearts and set aside personal desires at the Cross in prayer and worship. Let God’s scriptures confirms with His scriptures and not by our own interpretations. God’s work in God’s ways will not lack God’s provisions. He is faithful and wise above all creation. Most wise decisions in the kingdom require humility, obedience and teachability. David in Psalm 51, Jacob in Genesis 32, Esther in Esther 4, and even Jesus in Luke 22.
Prayer: O Lord my God, I yield to you my mind, my soul and my days to you. Let it not be my will but your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Your Word is the lamp to my feet and light to my path. Consecrate and open the eyes of my heart to discern your ways, your word and your wisdom. For it’s not by might, nor by power but by your Holy Spirit who leads me in righteousness, truth, and strength. I seek and ask for your divine wisdom to guide me in making godly decisions daily in Jesus' Name, Amen.
