14 March 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: ”God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you“ Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV. Being a Christian is not a life that is religious but relational. Religion operates in the flesh but a true relationship with God is living in the Spirit. The root cause of burnout, backsliding, giving up ministry or church shopping is due to flesh. God desires us to be rooted in Him. Apostle Paul brought this divine truth to the Church that we cannot serve God with our flesh and run the ministry with our own limitations. Zechariah 4:6.

When we don’t serve in the Spirit, we get offended, disappointed, and frustrated easily. We get tired, dry, and weary because we look to the flesh and not the Spirit of God. Christianity without the Spirit of Christ is no Christianity at all. If we serve God without the Spirit of Christ, there is no power, transformation or breakthroughs. Do we serve God or serve our flesh? If we serve God, it’s no longer we who live but Christ’s spirit, word and power living is us. Galatians 2:20 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭5‬ For where the spirit is, there is liberty in the Lord who gives His Spirit with no limits. Praise the Lord!

Prayer: O Lord my God, thank you for reminding us not to walk in the flesh but to walk with the Holy Spirit. Fill and lead me with your cloud of presence by day and the fire of glory by night. Let me walk deeper into your waters and drink from your living waters. Let I not lean on my own strength but to serve in the Spirit, moving in your gifts and bearing with your fruit. Break all my limitations for your glorification, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
