Today’s Inspiration: “David recovered everything the Amalekites had taken.” 1 Samuel 30:18 NIV. When David’s family and children were taken by his enemies at Ziglag, he and his armies were greatly depressed, distressed, and disheartened. Even his people wanted to stone him due to bitterness of the heart. But he found strength in the Lord our God. v6 He could have blamed Palestine King Archish, God or himself taking refuge in the land of his enemies but he didn’t. He chose to sought the Lord with his priest Abithar, bringing forth the Ephod to seek God first in prayer. Matthew 6:33.

We can be in a cross road in this season. Maybe the enemy has taken precious things from us like work, businesses, health or even relationships. Yet the Holy Spirit says,” The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8. David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?” “Pursue them,” He answered. “You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue.”1 Samuel 30:8 David was greatly strengthened in the Spirit and he overcame, overtook, and overran the Amalakites and not only took back his family but also plundered the enemy. None of his loved ones were lost. This is a season of divine restoration. Glory be unto God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, you are the God who goes before us and fights all our battles against the Amalakite spirit who wars against your people. Break the wearying, worrying, and wandering within my soul and fill me with your wisdom, wonders, and will to overcome in the Name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Let there be a divine restoration of relationships, resources and renewal of our minds, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
