13 September 2025 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.” 1 Corinthians 13:1 NIV. Worldly love is transactional for if we love those who love us, there is no credit, Jesus taught. Matthew 5:44. Godly love is unconditional and it is through Christ we learn how to love those who come against us, pray for those who persecute us and to do good to those who harm us. Isn’t this the full description of the Cross of Calvary.

Apostle Paul taught,”If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”1 Corinthians 13:2-3 Christ is coming for His loving church and not just a functional one, one with the fruit of the Spirit and not just moving with spiritual gifts. What pleases God is clean hands and pure heart. A contrite heart and broken spirit, He would not despise. Psalm 51:17 Loving God, and to others as ourselves is the greatest commandment, the foundation of Christianity and the presence of an eternal kingdom.

Prayer: O Lord my God, teach me and lead me how to love like Christ. For those in Christ is a new creation, the old has passed and the new has come. Your love for me and family never fails and nothing can separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus, for I am adopted with with the spirit of Sonship and is dearly a child of God. Your agape love is the strength which gives me the courage to love the unlovable, touch the untouchable, and reach the unreachable, in Jesus Name, Amen.
